MOVING MOUNTAINS CO-OP

ABOUT

ATTENTION: We are at capacity and have a waiting list for all ages. Schedule your visit this spring and get on the waiting list! Click the link in the picture above to register for the waitlist.

Moving Mountains is an academic enrichment homeschool

co-op meeting in Hebron for children ages 6-14 as of fall 2025. We meet once a week for classes for approximately 2-3 hours. Because we have a waiting list, we ask that you commit to the full 16-week term you enroll in. Contact us for the day and time.

Our fall 2025-26 offering includes:

- Raccoons: 1st/2nd Grade do various science picture books, an experiment and craft with a focus on learning through play and having time outdoors.

- Bobcats: 3rd-5th grade will do science unit studies (geology, ecology and motion and simple machines) with hands-on science activities and art. Students might also each study a National Park and present it to the group.

- Wolves: 6th-8th grade will study Shakespeare and artist studies/history from that time period.* To a certain degree, students in the 5th grade range could choose to be in Bobcats or Wolves depending on their interests.

- We currently do not have a group for ages 5 and under but if a parent wants to organize that we would welcome it. Younger siblings may stay with their parent in the mezzanine area or in the gym or field. We have a few toys and coloring books.

- Afterwards there’s outdoor play such as sledding in winter, field games, gaga ball and swimming in the warmer months.

*Grade refers to the grade your child would be in if in public school.

Our rate is expected to be $50-55 per child per 16-17 week semester to cover the cost of the rooms we need at Camp Berea but can go up or down based on enrollment. Whenever possible, we try to offer scholarships for larger families.

Fall fees are due 50% by the end of the spring, the remaining 50% when the term starts. Spring term fees are due at the start of the term.

Registration for the first/second grade class is typically is reserved for younger siblings of enrolled Bobcats or Wolves (3rd-8th grade).

The semesters run roughly:

September to January

February to May

This cost may go up or down each term depending on how many families commit and how many rooms we need.

Parents are required to stay and volunteer once or twice a month in some capacity (such as teaching in one of the classes, bringing supplies or cleaning.)

Families are required to sign the student handbook and code of conduct and liability release forms from Berea and the co-op.

Camp Berea is a Christian camp welcoming participants from all denominations, so the co-op will choose materials to teach from a Christian worldview. We may use Bible memory verses sometimes. We welcome co-op participants from a variety of ecumenical backgrounds who desire to be part of a Christian homeschool co-op. Prior to your first week, all families must fill out the following three documents:
